Lewis is well-known in the industry, having joined BAL in 2012 after an extensive career as a tradesman and then tiling lecturer. He gained his first experience in 1996 working for a family-run plastering business, specialising in wall and floor tiling.
He is also a qualified assessor and holds a Certificate of Education allowing him to teach tiling techniques. For five years, Lewis was a wall and floor tiling lecturer at Manchester College, working with the Offender Learning Sector. He developed the first ever tiling provision within HMP Haverigg.
Lewis joined BAL as a Product Support Technician (PST) before being promoted to manage the PST team in 2017.
He moved into a commercial role as an Area Sales Manager with BAL and ARDEX in 2019 – working with distributors, contractors and specifiers to deliver key projects across the North of England and the Scottish Borders. In 2022, Lewis was promoted to UK Head of Training & Technical Support for ARDEX UK and Building Adhesives.
